Raw material treatment

Crushing
Main equipment: grass crusher with belt conveyor
This process is suitable for bulk hay or straw. The function of the grass crusher is to crush 3-5 cm of grass fodder into 3-5mm grass powder for granulation.

Drying

Details of The Project
On April 9, 2018, we started to set up a 3-5 tons per hour grass pellet production line containing grain. The customer is from Indonesia. The raw materials mainly include straw, alfalfa, husk, corn and soybean meal. The grass pellets produced by the customer are used in different growth stages of cattle and sheep, so the ratio of raw materials and the final grass feed pellet size are not constant. If you want to get the output of 3-5t/h, you need to choose the model of the equipment through calculation. Our technical engineers customized the grass pellet production line according to the customer’s needs.
The main equipment of this production line includes double ribbon type mixer, 132kw SZLH grass pellet mill with side feeder, galvanized storage silos with two different volume. In addition, the production of feed pellets required steam, and the customer had his own boiler system. Of course, we can also provide boilers for our customers.
The project took 30 days to install, and there were 2 RICHI’s engineers to assist the installation. The project covers an area of 10m*5m*12m. How To Process Different Types of raw materials?
If the raw material is fresh grass that has just been cut, it needs to be dried for 3-5 days before being crushed. Or coarse crushing, then drying, and then fine crushing. Because fresh grasses have a water content of up to 90%, they are easily pulped by direct fine grinding.
If the raw material is grass powder, it is not necessary to crush. Besides, a hanging iron remover can remove the iron filings, which can protect the grass pelletizer on the grass pellet production line.
The hay cutter is suitable for crushing longer materials, such as corn stalks, into 3-5cm grass segments. The bale breaker is suitable for breaking the baled grass and straw for subsequent crushing.
